About Us

Who: Tara Honey's passion for wellness brought her to the Tri-County area in 2006 when she was recruited to become the first Wellness Director at Frederick Mennonite Retirement Community. Since moving to the area, Tara has positively impacted the lives of hundreds of colleagues and older adults, and she has provided leadership in both the Pottstown and Boyertown American Cancer Society's Relays for Life. Tara is also a Lehigh Valley Team in Training Mentor for the Eastern PA Chapter of the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society as well as a volunteer at the Center at Spring Street in Boyertown.

A retired United States Navy Captain with 25 years of service, Tara decided to extend her passion for wellness to pets, by providing a service that would give pet owners peace of mind as well as provide their pets with quality care and exercise. A life-long pet owner and lover, Tara has personal experience with both senior and special needs pets. She and her husband, Bob, live in Barto with their three dogs, Jake, Gus, and Morgan and two cats, Charlie and Beanie.

Tara strongly believes that a good pet sitter is compassionate, competent, and communicative, as well as reliable, ethical, and insured. She is a certified professional pet sitter with both Pet Sitters International and the National Association of Professional Pet Sitters and holds Pet CPR and First Aid certifications. She is an active member of the Berks-Mont Business Association.
